Announced on 14 June 2007, the W910i was a slim Walkman slider, just 12.5 mm thick and 86 g. Its party trick was shake control: with music playing, shaking the phone switched to another track, and the same motion sensing worked in Java games. Walkman 3.0 added SensMe, which sorted songs into moods from their genre and tempo, and Gracenote's TrackID could identify a song. The 2.4-inch screen sat above a 2-megapixel camera without a flash, and the phone came in six colours, from Hearty Red and Noble Black to Lipstick Pink and Silky White. On 14 February 2008 the GSM Association gave it its Best Handset 2008 award.
The K850i dropped the joystick Sony Ericsson phones had used since the Ericsson T68, in favour of three touch-sensitive soft keys.
